Just installed a new brand DG31PR with a Core 2 Duo E7500, Windows XP SP3. The onboard sound card is not recognized (even with the latest drivers). I added an additional Sound Blaster that I had extra and I can now have sound.
The real issue is that the CPU is not recognized as a ACPI processor. I applied the latest drivers of the motherboard and the latest BIOS update. I set the ACPI setting in the BIOS to "S1". I have no error in the Device Manager, but it doesn't show any ACPI devices or something near to it. The PC simply can't hibernate and it even doesn't power off when I shutdown XP.
Has anyone any idea to solve this problem?
