Hi CMata_Intel sir,
yes i know these links but i exactly don't know which plugins should i download and how to download then. which command should i type in my debian wheezy console ??
sometimes it just says "no such element" so my entered package name may be wrong.
these plugin source files actually contains programs that i don't know how to use/install. can you please provide me the exact command which installs all the plugins altogether ? (in raspberry pi i never faced such problem as it directly downloaded all required plugins automatically)
if i get that, it would be very much easier for me.
Hi CMata_Intel sir,
I came across this link http://crunchbang.org/forums/viewtopic.php?id=38892 which has exactly the same problem as mine.
It says that the packages for wheezy doesn't exist. So we have to install it manually from the wheezy backport. This is one of the reply in the link:
" The problem is that several of those packages don't exist in wheezy. For example the first one libgstreamer-plugins-base1.0-0 is in wheezy-backports only. (I-m assuming you are running vanilla #! ...)
I didn't check for other 'unmet dependencies', but your best option is to try to install all 'unmet dependencies' by hand, and install them from backport-wheezy."
Now how should I install them manually from the wheezy-backport ? Again there is a list of files given that I don't know how to install.
I don't know any methods how to install packages by hand. Please help me.
these are some links that can help you find me the solution.
You can try by installing it from the source, take a look at this: GStreamer-1.4.5
Firts I recommend you to run:
root@debian:~# apt-get update root@debian:~# apt-get upgrade
Then, you can download and extract the file and run:
Check which dependencies you need to install and install them with apt-get.
After this, you will need to run the commandsroot@debian:~#.
root@debian:~# ./configure root@debian:~# make root@debian:~# make install
Which image are you using? Are you using the Ubilinux from EmutexLabs or are you using another one? Could you post the link from where are you getting it?
hello CMata_Intel sir,
i performed the following steps:-
1: apt-get update
2: apt-get upgrade
3: Then I downloaded the gstreamer 1.4.5.tar.xz file from the link that you gave me. Transferred and extracted it into edison at /etc/ gstreamer 1.4.5 using Filezilla .
4: ran command: ./autogen.sh within the directory /etc/ gstreamer 1.4.5
till now everything is running fine.
now i want the following dependencies to be installed:
gstreamer1.0-alsa , gstreamer1.0-libav , gstreamer1.0-plugins-bad , gstreamer1.0-plugins-base , gstreamer1.0-plugins-base-dbg , gstreamer1.0-plugins-good , gstreamer1.0-plugins-ugly , gstreamer1.0-pulseaudio , gstreamer1.0-x : Depends
but when i tried to install it using the command:
apt-get install gstreamer1.0-alsa
it shows the following output:
The following packages have unmet dependencies:
gstreamer1.0-alsa : Depends: libgstreamer-plugins-base1.0-0 (>= 1.2.4) but it is not going to be installed
E: Unable to correct problems, you have held broken packages.
and for all other packages, it shows the same output.
So I'm unable to proceed further.
please guide me ahead.
I suggest you to contact EmutexLabs because they are the experts in this image/OS.
It seems you need to update libgstreamer-plugins-base1.0-0 so you can start with that dependence. If you get the same error for all of them you can try by downloading the source of them and installing them with make.
