The mmcblk0p10 is the Edison's home partition, you can check this with the command df -h. This partition is the one that is used to store data like downloaded files, etc. I'm not certain, but it seems that something got wrong with this partition. Did you modify the rootfs partitions? Or, is this your custom image?
If this is the official release you seem to be out of date. Since I get the message:
Poky (Yocto Project Reference Distro) 1.7.2 Peter ttyMFD2
And yours is:
Poky (Yocto Project Reference Distro) 1.6 oddballmd ttyMFD2
What image are you on? You can verify it with the command configure_edison --version. If you are on anything bellow 159, I'd recommend you to update to the latest version. You will find it here: https://software.intel.com/en-us/iot/hardware/edison/downloads.
Hi. This was the problem! I downloaded teh latest image and re-flashed it- problem solved!
