There’s a UART2 channel, but it comes by default attached to the Serial console. So you can try using it via the Arduino IDE, you’ll need to look at the implementation code of Serial2 in the Arduino files, then disable the kernel access to this port.

Beware that the method referenced does not work with the more recent Yocto distro. See the following thread for an updated procedure to disable the console in order to use UART2:Re: UART2 for data transfer using NodeJS
