A few months back I updated my IRST driver and since then it started showing me BSOD's due to which I was forced to remove it.
Now I did a clean install of Windows 8.1 and so I was wondering if I should give it a try again?
My PC manufacturer is Samsung and they probably include the RST drivers with their Driver Update Utility with every PC of theirs and my HDD is from Seagate (1 TB, 5400 rpm)
So my question is does IRST have any noticeable advantage on single HDD PC's?
I did some searching before asking this here but most of the stuff was RAID related so can anyone guide me what I need to know?
The Intel® Rapid Storage Technology software helps to create a RAID configurations or if you want to enable Intel® Smart Cache technology. In the second case it is necessary to use an internal mSATA Solid State Drive of 20GB at least.
