    Shutdown

    VRI

      Hi at all

I have one doubt about the shutdown, is it good, all the time, to do an hardware reset (turning off the Edison from power supply) every time I use it? Is there the risk of corrupting some system registers like in Windows?

      Thank you guys

          Hi VRI

The are some chances to have files corrupted after shutting down the board with the power supply but it's not that usual. You can continue shutting down the board by unplugging it or you can use the command shutdown -h.

I have not seen problems by unplugging it yet but if you want to shutdown the board in the safest way I suggest you to use the command.
