Will Intel HD Graphics 5300 in laptop work with UHD (2160p) flat screen TV?

I recently purchased a http://www.microsoftstore.com/store/msusa/en_US/pdp/ASUS-Zenbook-UX305FA-USM1-Signature-Edition-Laptop/productID.313303100?tid=s5kaTTKsi_dc&cid=5250&pcrid=63770361533&pkw=asus%20zenbook%20ux305&pmt=e&WT.srch=1&WT.mc_id=pointitsem_Microsoft+US_google_5+-+PCs+-+2013&WT.term=asus%20zenbook%20ux305&WT.campaign=5+-+PCs+-+2013&WT.content=5kaTTKsi&WT.sour... new laptop with this graphics adapter (and micro HDMI output) and am interested in its capability to run a UHD (2160p) or "4K" flat screen TV. I am not a gamer or heavy user of "video" content, I just want a very large desktop to run multiple windows (word processing, multiple browsers, email, OCR, graphics, PDF programs, etc) on my desktop... maybe instead of using dual or triple monitors.

And a followup question to this would be whether I can run triple monitors (all FHD with just one HDMI port output from the laptop... is there a way to split the HDMI signal? (maybe a dumb question?)

Hello Intel_indiana,

The resolutions you can get with this processor are HDMI*: 4096 x 2304, 3840 x 2160 @ 24 Hz. You can check this information here:

In regards to your question about the triple display configuration, it is necessary to have at least 1 DisplayPort output and then either HDMI +VGA, HDMI+DVI or any other configuration but at least 1 DP as requirement.

You can use adapters that split HDMI into two or perhaps three monitors but I cannot guarantee it will work.
