I have an Edison and Arduino breakout board. I want to connect a 3DR telemetry radio. The radio has a USB interface and it shows up as a serial port when connected to a Windows machine.
I placed the slider switch on the breakout board in the Host position, connected the radio and powered up the board. I was unable to find/connect to the radio. I tried all the reasonable TTY devices listed in /dev, but none of them seemed to be the radio.
Do I need drivers? If so, where can I get them? and how do I install them?
most likely you will have to add the right driver. E.G. if it's a ftdi device you'd have to add the ftdi module. You might find the right driver at AlexT_Intel's repo: Index of /edison/repo/edison. You may want to check also other threads on drivers in this forum
