recently I got to connect an UART camera using the mini breakout and I also found too many issues. I wrote a tutorial to get it through using the miniBreakout
That is the link, follow the Readme and let me know if it works for you!
Thanks, it looks like I need a level shifter. I didn't see anything mentioning that the minibreakout's UART is 1V8.
Hey, I don't mean to nitpick but I think your figure on the minibreakout has the incorrect pinout positions given the labels.
Pin 1 is on the left side of the board at this perspective, I think they are illustrated on the right.
well I see what you mean I just pictured it as if it was on the other side, you know? like if it was transparent but the pins stayed the same?
That is why I labeled it, to make sure it was understood. You got it right? Also, the position of the MicroUSB connectors make it more clear.
sorry for the confusion
Yeah, I see that but according to the LinkSprite diagram, Pin 1 is near the USB ports but according to the document linked below, Pin 1 is closest to J2.
http://download.intel.com/support/edison/sb/edisonbreakout_hg_331190006.pdf- Page 7 has the figure.
I see what you mean, I got it wrong. I think is the only diagram wrong, the others are right.
Thank you for your comment!
