          Hi Abinaya,

          I've answered your question regarding the sketchbook in your other thread: How to add sketchbook in my arduino programming window?.

          Regarding your LCD sketch issue, can you attach the code (the sketch) so I can take a look at it?

          Regards,

          Diego.

            Oh Ya Thank you DiegoV, i can get my sketchbook now.

            I use Grove LCD-RGB backlight with Arduino 1.5.3 intel 1.4.0

            When i use following code

            #include <Wire.h>

            #include "rgb_lcd.h"

            rgb_lcd lcd;

            Void setup()

            {

                // set up the LCD's number of columns and rows:

                lcd.begin(16, 2);

                // Print a message to the LCD.

                lcd.print("hello, world!");

                delay(1000);

            }

            void loop()

            {

                // Turn off the blinking cursor:

                lcd.noBlink();

                delay(3000);

                // Turn on the blinking cursor:

                lcd.blink();

                delay(3000);

            }

            I get the error as follows

            Blink.ino:28:1: error: 'rgb_lcd' does not name a type

            Blink.ino: In function 'void setup()':

            Blink.ino:34:5: error: 'lcd' was not declared in this scope

            Blink.ino: In function 'void loop()':

            Blink.ino:45:5: error: 'lcd' was not declared in this scope

            And for following display program

            #include <Wire.h>

            #include "rgb_lcd.h"

            rgb_lcd lcd;

            void setup() {

                // set up the LCD's number of columns and rows:

                lcd.begin(16, 2);

                // Print a message to the LCD.

                lcd.print("hello, world!");

            }

            void loop() {

                // Turn off the display:

                lcd.noDisplay();

                delay(500);

                // Turn on the display:

                lcd.display();

                delay(500);

            }

            It shows the same error as follows

            Display.ino:28:1: error: 'rgb_lcd' does not name a type

            Display.ino: In function 'void setup()':

            Display.ino:32:5: error: 'lcd' was not declared in this scope

            Display.ino: In function 'void loop()':

            Display.ino:39:5: error: 'lcd' was not declared in this scope

            Is there any problem in declaration or library function???

            Help me sir...

              Hello Abinaya,

              I've noticed that you have posted the same question in another thread (Intel Edison LCD-RGB backlight problem) and you have already received a response. Were you able to solve the issue of adding the rgb_lcd library?

              Regards,

              Diego.
