From Intel website, they mentioned that currently this board does not support Windows 7 and I guess they are not planning to provide windows 7 drivers for any of the board that are from this list: http://downloadmirror.intel.com/18246/eng/Windows%207%20Compatibility%20for%20Intel%20Desktop%20Boards.pdf
Supported OS on Intel Boards: http://www.intel.com/support/motherboards/desktop/sb/CS-008326.htm
However since windows 7 uses almost the same kernel as windows vista, you may try to use the audio drivers for windows vista and see if it works, in general it should work fine. Please note, after installing OS it is always recommended to install drivers in the correct order: Chipset, audio, graphics and the remaining. Installing the drivers in the wrong order may cause some issues in the system performance.
In general, windows 7 have built in drivers that makes the system still working fine even without installing drivers.
Hope this will be useful to you.
Thanks for the reply!
If i installed items in the incorrect order, is there a way to correct this? The built in drivers didn't seem to make the audio work either. Apparently the audio driver I downloaded is supported by vista 64 bit as well, but it still didnt work.
Should I just buy a new board?\
Thanks again for your help
