Question: Intel pro 1000PT Quad

I got 2XIntel pro 1000PT Quad cards installed on an IBM x3650 server, installed a driver from IBM web site version 14.0 , driver date 12/04/08.

For some reason, the teaming option is not shown as a tab in Device Mgr, I have reload Proseet (version 14.5) and PRO2KXP_v14_0.exe, no avail, I like to know the trick to get this working, it just can not be this difficult, since I have been working with so many NICs.

Possibly cause by the ISCSI remote boot. As per Intel website, teaming is not supported for ports with ISCSI traffic .

You can try flashing the PXE boot image to replace ISCSI boot image if you don't have plan using ISCSI boot. The 2nd paragraph with the special note in the url below has relevant info on where you can download proboot.exe

Thanks for the hint, I don't plan to use ISCSI remote boot and did not have driver and software installed, the

PXE boot i believe was diabled in Bios level. I did not get to load the ISCSI driver is going to do to me?

what's your os?

try going to add/remove programs, then highlight Proset software, click on change/remove. there, you'll see the components that is installed on your system, make sure the drivers, and ANS are checked then click on next.

The OS is w2k3 enterp. 32bits.

Your note reminds me of this issue, I have been busy to update this, I got a system teaming working, don't even know how, my best bet was custimer had rebootd the server. they have not give me a window the reload the driver on second one. Nowadays, SA has been tied up (hands&feet) and asked to finish the work in 5 seconds, no failure allowed.(miracle do happen, but not like this ). I think is the version 14.0 issue, although it worked after reloaded twice and rebooted, it is flakey. Thanks for the attention.

you can also check if your WMI service is running as this may cause tabs to disappear as well
