Intel Edison: Can't Manage to Get Bluetooth Working

    rei_vilo

I'm using Yocto and can't manage to get Bluetooth working.

I went through different threads about the same and tried the answers, to no avail.

bluez-5.24 was installed as per IoT - Using the Generic Attribute Profile (GATT) in Bluetooth* Low Energy with your Intel® Edison Board | Intel® Develop….

After rebooting, rftkill list doesn't list Bluetooth.

      root@Edison:~# export PATH=$PATH:~/bluez-5.24/attrib/

      root@Edison:~# rfkill unblock bluetooth

      root@Edison:~# rfkill list

      0: phy0: wlan

        Soft blocked: no

        Hard blocked: no

      1: brcmfmac-wifi: wlan

        Soft blocked: no

        Hard blocked: no

connmanctl enable bluetooth gives an error

      root@Edison:~# connmanctl enable bluetooth

Error bluetooth: The name net.connman was not provided by any .service files

bluetoothctl answers no controller is available, as per Intel® Edison Board Getting Started with Bluetooth* | Intel® Developer Zone and IoT - Using the Generic Attribute Profile (GATT) in Bluetooth* Low Energy with your Intel® Edison Board | Intel® Develop…

      root@Edison:~# export PATH=$PATH:~/bluez-5.24/attrib/

      root@Edison:~# rfkill unblock bluetooth

      root@Edison:~# bluetoothctl

      [bluetooth]# agent KeyboardDisplay

      Agent registered

      [bluetooth]# default-agent

      Default agent request successful

      [bluetooth]# scan on

      No default controller available

      [bluetooth]# show

      No default controller available

hcitool dev gives an empty list, as per Unable to get Bluetooth working on the Intel Edison
