    Getting Error While building Yocto Linux OS for Intel Galileo Gen 2 on Ubuntu 12.04 LTS OS

    Swamy_Govinda

      Hi

      I am trying to build yocto os for Intel Galileo Gen 2 uing the BSP provided by Intel,

      I downloaded all the necessary files "BSP_Sources_and_Docs_for_Intel_Quark_v1.0.1.zip"

      from the websitehttps://downloadcenter.intel.com/downloads/eula/23823/Intel-Quark-BSP-Release-Archive?httpDown=http%3A%2F%2Fdownloadmirror.intel.com%2F23823%2Feng%2FBSP_Sources_and_Docs_for_Intel_Quark_v1.0.1.zip.

      Then I executed

      # tar -xvf meta-clanton*.tar.gz

      # cd meta-clanton*

      # ./setup.sh

      But after executing "./setup.sh" command

      I am getting the following error.

      iot-desktop@iotdesktop-desktop:/tmp/meta-clanton_v1.0.1$ ./setup.sh

      Running: git init

      Initialized empty Git repository in /tmp/meta-clanton_v1.0.1/poky/.git/

      My cat /etc/os-release file contents are given below.

      iot-desktop@iotdesktop-desktop:~$ cat /etc/os-release

      NAME="Ubuntu"

      VERSION="12.04.5 LTS, Precise Pangolin"

      ID=ubuntu

      ID_LIKE=debian

      PRETTY_NAME="Ubuntu precise (12.04.5 LTS)"

      VERSION_ID="12.04"

      iot-desktop@iotdesktop-desktop:~$

      Initially I was using Ubuntu 14.04 LTS OS, I got error and I googled that error and

      in this thread https://communities.intel.com/thread/53094

      They suggested to change the OS from 14.04 to 12.04.

      So I removed Ubuntu 14.04 and installed Ubuntu 12.04.

      Please help me out.
