If you are updating the Compute Stick, make sure you right-click the filename and click Run as administrator to start the update.
See instructions linked below:
Thanks allan_intel, but I have no problems with updating the stick. It is as far as I can tell fully updated and I can run apps without issues.
The problem comes when I start cmd.exe as administrator and try to run "sfc /scannow". It always fail at 2% with the error message: "Windows Resource Protection could not perform the requested operation"
Thanks for the clarification.
It does sound like windows partition problem, you may try to reset or restore the Compute Stick
Below there are instructions about reset and restore:
I have reset my stick a number of times prior to learning that a patch was in the works for the Modern App issues. sfc /scannow failed prior to the patch and continues to fail afterwards.
I feel we're, once again, coming back to a need for a recovery image being made available for the stick.
I got the same experience as Zeke unfortunately. I reset the stick and once it was finished I was yet again unable to run certain apps and sfc stopped at 2%. I then tried to install the app-patch and after reboot I was able to run the apps. However, sfc still stopped at 2%.
I'm not sure how to do, but if it might be of assistance I'd be happy to upload my CBS.log from the two runs.
