I am guessing that you are trying to load a driver for device which is not present. NFC in the NUC is provided by a replacement functional lid which would seem to have a connection near the front corner to NFC module/antenna housed in a lid.
In order for you to properly install the NFC driver, you need to have an NFC device connected, If you do not have it installed and if you are not planning to get one, there is no need to try to install this driver.
I have a "SOL REPUBLIC Tracks Air Wireless Headphones", it is Bluetooth- and NFC-enabled device. I tried to connect this headphone during/after NFC driver installation. The NFC function of NUC isn't working all the time. The yellow mark is still on NFC driver in device manager. Is it possible this problem is caused by HW instead of driver? Should I RMA my NUC?
Customize Your Intel® NUC Lid
Replaceable lids are one of the many new and innovative features of the latest Intel® NUC kits (NUC5i7RYH, NUC5i5RYH, NUC5i5RYK, NUC5i3RYH, NUC5i3RYK, NUC5i5MYHE, and NUC5i3MYHE). Easily customize your Intel NUC by simply removing the factory lid and snapping on a new one. There is virtually no limit to what can be done! Use cosmetic replaceable lids to represent your school, sport, or company logo.
Get More Capabilities
Functional replaceable lids can add new functionality such as wireless charging, near field communications (NFC), or 4G/LTE. And if the NUC doesn’t come with the all the I/O you want, you can add more with an expansion lid containing USB 2.0, VGA, RS232C COM, SDXC card reader, or other ports. Find replaceable lids from third-party manufacturers outside of Intel or design your own. Download the detailed replaceable lid files below and customize the design any way you wish.
In this case you would need an NFC device on the NUC side, the NUC does not come with the NFC device installed, but you can get a replaceable lid that comes with the NFC.
You can find more information about the lid in the following link:
I tried to remove the lid, and there is no NFC module/antenna in NUC5i7RYH.
