intel edison yocto -- installing private npm repos

    ziacat

      Hello,

I have done a yocto build starting with the linux source from Intel.  Now that I've done that -- and flashed successfully -- I'm interested in customizing the image.

I noticed it it using bitbake 1.22 and yocto 1.6.  Will later versions work?

Is there support for adding nodjs npm modules from private repos?

      Thanks!

          a clear "I don't know"

On bitbake I guess it should work. On Yocto it might work with recipes from later versions but it might as well not work as there might be dependencies in recipes which would require major changes. To be on the safe side I would recommend to stick with the given (which may also change to newer version as time goes by). But if you want to try other versions feel free. In that case you're probably mostly on your own.

How do you mean? Building a Yocto recipe which internally runs npm installs? Just have a look at iotkit-agent or xdk-daemon recipes for instance which both run npm installs
