When I was testing different configurations, I successfully used an HDMI switch - I used a Kinivo 5-port switch and connected the Stick and an AV receiver to it and then output to a TV. What is your configuration and the symptoms you're seeing?
Compute stick powered from AC adapter in all tests
1. Compute stick into Sony Bravia - fine
2. Compute Stick into HDMI switch into Bravia - no signal using any of the 3 hdmi switch inputs; but all 3 inputs fine with TV decoder.
(HDMI switch is an el cheapo one from AliExpress -- hdmi switch powered from wall plug via usb to usb power in all tests)
3. Exactly the same results from a second Bravia and second TV decoder and an additional DVD player (Sony). HDMI switch switches fine between TV decoder and DVD player, no signal getting to TV from stick.
Hope this helps
Is this the switch you have - 1Pcs Mini 3 Port HDMI Switch Switcher HDMI Splitter HDMI Port for HDTV 1080P Vedio Wholesale-in HDMI from Consumer Elect…. Without having one of these in hand, I cannot be certain, but I suspect the problem is that this switch conforms to the HDMI 1.3 spec. The Compute Stick is HDMI 1.4a. Do you have access to try a 1.4a switch? If that's not the one you have, please provide the make/model.

I've moved our conversation about the HDMI switch to its own topic. I'll check with our validation team to see if there are other switches I can try.
