I have the i7 4790k with the stock cooler that came with it currently installed.
I just recently closed out of a game and noticed that the temperatures were up around 100 degrees Celsius, stayed that way for a minute or so before dropping back down.
The game in question is Rust, which is notoriously unoptimized, but its never put my CPU to 100 degrees before.
I was under the impression that the stock cooler would work just fine at keeping my CPU at safe levels, provided I don't overclock. Is this incorrect?
Whats the max safe temperature for this processor? Like at what point do I need to consider turning the computer off or attaching the after market cooler?
