So it only does it sometimes? other times it boots fine?
I would check your cables are connected correctly if it still happens try a different cable. If you still are getting the same issue try a different harddrive.
What has "it is in worranty period only" got to do with anything?
I checked all the connections. Every time i reboot it "gives the same message" I conatacted RAM(transcend) company support and hard disk(seagate), they told that it is bios problem. it got this problem 9 months ago. I upgraded the bios also. After upgrading works fine for some days, again the problem starts.
Umm.. interesting, so you upgrad eth BIOS, it boots for a while and then bam it wont. When it won't boot form the HDD, will it boot form a CD or a USB?
And are you sur ethe HDD will boot fine on another system?
If so yeh i would say RMA it, here is the link for ointel customer support : http://www.intel.com/support/9089.htm
not for a while for some days.i tried to reinstall(windows vista home premium genuine) but it will not load na? my hard disk works well in my friends system(same mother board).
As long as you know all the other components work fine on another system then contact intel for an RMA.
actually the story is
when i use for a long time(upto ten hours in a day ), it becomes slow and it will play even a song hardly giving brakes(perhaps it is unable to load the file)
last time i was burning a disk, dvd (generally it burns in about ten minutes with fast 16*). it took upto 25 minutes for fourty percent burning and gave the message "an error has occured " rebooted itself and displayed the message "error loading the os"
i will be trying now and then booting it.if it boots i will reinstall the bios once again though it says it has the same version of bios. after that it works for 15 to 20 days fine. the problem starts again.
it is three days i got the problem. till now i did not start it
it is very strange na!
From where you downloaded the new BIOS version. I am also facing the same problem. I even changed the HDD and RAM with new ones! My BIOS version is NL94510J.86A.0017.2007.0828.1137
