I got this laptop.

I wonder if anyone can help me get the required drivers for 64 bit.

I know that t6500 doesn't support 64 without them. please tell me if i'm wrong.

The CPU does support a 64bit OS, and no you wouldn't need any drivers to make the CPU work. Whatr you wiull need is to find out if the motherboard (well chipset) in your board supports a 64bit OS. And then if it does you will need to get the drivers for the different components of your system.

Hi,

I believe it does support a 64 bit OS, if you put Mobile Intel® PM45 Express Chipset into google the first couple of pages are the intel one regarding teh chipset, if you then go to download drivers for it there are 64bit Os dirvers tehre. To be honest the best thing you can do is either contact Sony or just try to install it and see what happens, you can always reinstall the 32bit version.

The other thing is why do you want a 64bit OS? How much memory do you have? becasue if you dont have more than 4Gb tehre is no point at all going 64 bit.
