Erm... not being funny..... but buy a new computer......

When you say the quality is bad what do you mean exactly?

Has it always been like this?

are the just dvds or blu rays?

are you doing anythin else on the computer whilst you are watching them?

what is the rest of you setup, CPU RAM?

865G M/B ,is it AGP slot?

I was use a X800XT(Core R420) on a 865PE M/B,native AGP card

If your M/B contain only AGP slot not PCIE

you can find an ATI X800 X550 or Nvidia 6Series card, but it wont be easy,no new cards now, only second-hand

If PCIE a GF9400GT is enough, but I forgot if 94GT support hardware decode

btw.is there any movie play normally on your computer, what is the codec and resolution of your "bad quality" movie (right click in playback window and choose propeties)
