As it turns out my Intel desktop board appears to have failed. It doesn't boot to any of the selected boot drives with a resultant POST code of 87. What is absolutely wonderful about this is that Intel ended all support for my desktop board the vernerable D845GEBV2 and it also doesn't provide a complete POST code list! The list on the POST code page says that the range 80-8f are reserved for future use. Well, that future must have come because it's displayed at failure.
Can't Intel provide a complete listing of the POST codes that are presented by the BIOSes it uses? Has anyone else had an experience in which their boards don't boot to any selected boot drive?
