There are two methods to recover your board in that state. The first is to perform the flashall method, you can find more info about this method in this thread: Flashall.sh and pre-built xFSTK. Or you can use the Flash Tool Lite released yesterday. You can download this tool here: https://software.intel.com/en-us/iot/hardware/edison/downloads. Also you can find a guide on how to use this tool here: IoT - Flash Tool Lite User Manual | Intel® Developer Zone.
Thanks for the reply. I had already tried both of those techniques and tried the flash lite tool again today, but it shows an error "Flash failed"
I can still screen and ssh into the linux operating system on the board. But cannot program it. It had worked previously, but has just suddenly stopped now.
Could you show me the output of the flashall process?
Hi, Thanks for the replies, sorry for the delay.
The output from the flashall.sh is
tiernan@tiernanVBox:~/edison$ sudo ./flashall.sh
Using U-Boot target: edison-blankcdc

Did you plug and reboot your board?
If yes, please try a recovery by calling this script with the --recovery option
So, if you reboot at that point nothing happens, right? Are you able to enter your Edison's internal Linux? If so, could you enter it while attempting to do the flashall method and type reboot when this message appears.
Can you confirm that the flash Tool Lite doesn't work either?
