Need help with CPU

i have intel D865GLC mother board with pentium 2.6 GHZ processor already installed and running, but when i install a 3.GHZ pentium 4 processor it does not work or run, pls advise why it dont work, i have also tried celron 2.2 ghz processor and it still dont run on intel D865GLC motherboard

There are BIOS and board revision requirements to support certain processor. Please check the link below:

Notice that Pentium 4 3 GHz and 3E Ghz have different requirements.
