Hello rrecroc,

Bluetooth* and Wi-Fi uses the same antennas. Bluetooth wireless technology and 802.11b/g/n both use the 2.4 GHz ISM (Industrial, Scientific, Medical) unlicensed spectrum, and in some configurations can interfere with each other that may cause this. On the other hand, if your router is a single-banded one, you will only use the speeds available for 2.4GHz even though the Intel® Dual Band Wireless-AC 7265 is dual band. Please check this link as it can help you improve your speed.

If this wireless card came already installed in your computer when you bought it and if you also need to install any driver or update your computer, we highly recommend that you consult your computer manufacturer first, as they are the only ones entitled to provide you the list of updates and drivers that are compatible with your system.
