this is the flash drive I'm using.
Kevin, which USB flash drive you tested? As I said, all my USB2.0 flash drive won't trigger the wake, but only USB3.0. However, I just only have this USB3.0 dirve with me, so can't test out if it will be the same with other USB3.0 drive
I plug-in this card-reader Amazon.com: Kingston Digital MobileLite G4 USB 3.0 Multi-Function Card Reader (FCR-MLG4): Computers & Accessories with a microSD 64GB and every time the system stop booting with the following mesage (see picture attach)
After removing the card reader problem is solved. I replace the card reader with a USB 2.0 one and I have no problem. Kingston G4 USB 3.0 work perfect but I can't boot with in the USB port.
Hi Intel, regarding the USB 3.0 thumb restart my IntelNUC, I have sent email to Sandisk and here is their reply, it seems like the IntelNUC USB port problem:
After review your case, we would like to ask you if it would be possible to try your Extreme USB 3.0 64GB on another USB port and another computer if possible. We have researched and the issue appears to be a USB port that takes too much power from the system and so it causes it to restart.
I understand that your Extreme 3.0 flash drive doesn’t functioning properly on your Intel NUC NUC5i5RYH computer, causing you restarting the pc every time it is inserted. We reviewed your issue and as we have already informed you that it seem to be your USB port issue of your computer.
Since the flash drive works fine on other pc and laptop as you mentioned, you have tried, this probably the issue of your computer compatibility with our SanDisk Extreme 3.0 flash drive.
We are not aware if we would have any firmware to upgrade the drive so you can use it in your Intel NUC, but we recommend you to contact again your computer manufacturer in order to resolve the issue of your USB port.
