    X5450 Vs E5450

Would there be any difference in the performance of a system if instead of installing a Xeon 0X5450 , I go for the Xeon E5450.

      Please Help

Performance wise, these two parts are equivalent ... (same frequency, cache, number of cores, ... ) should deliver the same performance when all other system variables are kept the same.  The E5450 consumes 80W and the X5450 consumes 120W.  You will find a difference in price (e5450 will cost a little more)

So the performance per watt will be better on the E5450
