I'm trying to update my graphics card

I'm trying to update my graphics card, which is built into the Intel motherboard, to run Starry Night Pro (astronomy software). After talking with the developer of SN, I was informed that I need to update. I visited the Intel site, downloaded their firmware updater, rebooted the PC, but the software still would not run, saying that something called OpenGL 2 is missing.

Does this mean I have to purchase a new graphics card?

Here are my PC's specs:

Intel Pentium Dual Core CPU E5200 @ 2.50GHz

8MB RAM

Windows 7 64-bit OS with Service Pack 1

Graphics card driver: G43/G45 express Chipset

Intel desktop DG43GT motherboard

Thanks, in advance,

Roy

Thanks, Kory.

When I tried to install the upgrade, I received a message that my PC doesn't meet the minimum requirements for the installation. However, the message did not say what those requirements are.

You may try forcing the installation of Intel generic drivers by performing manual procedure, see here for instructions:

Download the zip version of the video driver:
