      I am doing a mini project in my college using intel galileo board.

      I am new to it. And my project needs to be controlled by a IR remote.

      So can anyone please help me to interface IR reciever tsop362 with galileo I tried many codes but it did not work......

      so please help me.

          Hi N@T@R@J,

          Could you please attach the code you are using? I will check it to know if there is anything I can suggest you.

          Regards,

          Diego.

            This is the code I am using to recieve IR signals.

            ________________________________________________

            #include <IRremote.h>

            int RECV_PIN = 11;

            IRrecv irrecv(RECV_PIN);

            decode_results results;

            void setup()

            {

              Serial.begin(9600);

              irrecv.enableIRIn(); // Start the receiver

            }

            void loop() {

              if (irrecv.decode(&results)) {

                Serial.println(results.value, HEX);

                irrecv.resume(); // Receive the next value

              }

              delay(100);

            }

            _______________________________________________________

            thank you..

              Hi N@T@R@J,

              I have checked the code you posted. It is fine but the IRremote.h library that you are using is not Galileo compatible. There are some Arduino libraries that are not Galileo compatible because they were written based on the Arduino architecture. Since the Galileo architecture is different those libraries will not work.

              You should write your own Galileo compatible library for your application. I will suggest you to check how the IR receiver works by checking its datasheet: http://www.vishay.com/docs/82568/tsop362.pdf. Also I will recommend you to check this thread: Using Galileo for IR remote control. The thread is about an IR remote control for Galileo, very similar to your application. I believe you will find it interesting.

              Regards,

              Diego.
