HD4400 i3 4150 signal blinks in 1080p gaming

when gaming at 1920x1080 1080p fullscreen whenever there is heavy action going on in game cpu gpu usage goes up, my screen would blink once or twice as if turning on/off v-sync but the blink lasts a little longer maybe half a second compared to actually turning on/off v-sync,I tried every connector on my asrock z97 extreme4 hdmi/displayport/dvi/vga.

I was using an older monitor via dvi 1280x1024 native res and no issues, I have tried most of the drivers from intel 3670, 4080, 4156.

I always reformat and install win 7 x64 fresh when trying out new drivers.

Hello Hjin, thanks for joining the Intel Community.

I would need to get information about your system so please attach the DX Diag report? (Start -> Run -> dxdiag -> Save All Information).

I would also need to know the model number of the old monitor and also the model of the new monitor you are using?

Thanks for the information, Hjin.

Some recommendations I could give you are the following:

Update the Chipset driver to the latest version available.

Update the management engine and BIOS. http://www.asrock.com/mb/Intel/Z97%20Extreme4/?cat=Download http://www.asrock.com/mb/Intel/Z97%20Extreme4/?cat=Download

I would also recommend you to install the monitor driver http://www.dell.com/support/home/us/en/04/Drivers/DriversDetails?driverId=YVPMR http://www.dell.com/support/home/us/en/04/Drivers/DriversDetails?driverId=YVPMR

Let me know the results,

I was in bios and the screen started blanking out, both monitors connected and the one at 1080p blanks out for a second or two. is there a problem with the cpu since I wasn't even in windows.

Hjin, could you please try lowering the refresh rate to 59hz?

I updated the bios, management engine and chipset drivers same issue the monitor at 1920x1080 is still blanking out. even in desktop doing nothing

I tried dual monitors dell u2414h and samsung 732bf, the blanking happens at 1920x1080 I don't have a 1440p monitor but I suspect it would blank out too, the other issue is when the main monitor is loading something in game the secondary display will flicker.
