Hello!

I have a blue screen crashes strictly on reboot or shut down my computer.

Blue screen appears immediately after the screen "Shutdown"

*** Hardware Malfunction

Call your hardware vendor for support

*** The system has halted ***

This is old server. I decided to use him as reserved copy server.

Buy RAID controller LSI SAS 9240-8i and 8 HDD Seagate Constellation SAS ST1000NM0001.

Hardware configuration:

Motherboard Intel server board SE7520BD2 DDR2-400.

RAID controller LSI SAS 9240-8i.

8 HDD Seagate Constellation SAS ST1000NM0001.

Last BIOS vervion. 8 GB RAM.

I tried to install Linux Centos 6.6 x64 - linux works without fails, without error messages in logs.

I tried to install Windows 7 SP1 x64 VL, Windows 2008R2 x64 Standart, Windows 2012 - on all OS gets blue screeen on reboot/shutdown.

I tried to disconnect RAID controller LSI SAS 9240-8i and install Windows 7 on old IDE HDD - also I have blue screen.

At the time the blue screen in the system log an error:

Hi!

Although the Intel® Server Board SE7520BD2 is an end-of-interactive support product (click http://www.intel.com/support/motherboards/server/sb/CS-029878.htm here for details), we would still like to comment the LSI* 9240-8i is not shown as an officially validated one for the board; see http://www.intel.com/support/motherboards/server/se7520bd2/sb/cs-013538.htm Intel® Server Board SE7520BD2 — Tested Hardware and Operating System List. You may consequently want to try with an officially tested RAID controller card.

As for the same blue screen taking place when you tried without the LSI*, we add that because the Operating System list on the given link above does not mention any of the Operating Systems you tried with, as a hint, you may first want to ensure the IDE hard drive is in the validated list and, secondly, use a compatible Operating System.

Should you wonder what the technical website for the Intel® Server Board SE7520BD2 is, please, find it here:
