We will need more information about the issue, and also would like to present some initial recommendations.
- Please let us know the model of NUC you have, also the Operating System and wireless driver version. Provide any additional information or testing you may have done. Does it happen when resuming from sleep?
- We noticed that the Intel® Centrino® Ultimate-N 6300 is not listed in the tested peripherals for NUC systems, so we would need the information of the system in order to determine if this is a relevant factor.
- Please obtain and install the most recent version of the NUC BIOS and also the Wireless adapter driver from Intel Download Center.

Please follow these steps as they may help in this situation:
- Download Intel® PROSet/Wireless Software and Drivers for Windows 7*, version 17.14.0. File name: Wireless_17.14.0_s64.exe.
- Go to Windows Device Manager, Network Adapters, right click on the Intel® Centrino® Ultimate-N 6300, and select uninstall, make sure to mark the option "Delete the driver software for this device".
- Install the Driver 17.14.0 you downloaded before.
- Go to Device Manager again and open the properties of the wireless adapter, make sure to mark the option (check the box) "Allow the computer to turn off this device to save power".
If the issue persists, apply the configuration from the document: What are the Recommended Settings for 802.11n Connectivity?
thnsks allot!! i have the nuc like 6 months now and i dont know what to do. i will try what you suggest and report th results. Also i have downloaded the intel driver update utility. I want to say that even thought the utility downloads and installs most of the drivers it fails to install these two:
- Nuvoton infrared CIR driver. For some reason the driver the task manager shows is version 2.4.2013.711. I unistalled and then run the utility again but to no avail. the driver remains 2.4.2013.711
-Chipset: Intel chipset device software for intel nuc. the utility reports failed in installing that driver. What should i do?

hello i did everything you told and also i read the recomended settings for my router and the centrino ultimate.
So i think i have the answer: When i read about roaming agressiveness it said below medium. So set it to medium-low. The connections were dorpping faster. So for some time i closed the wifi altogether, because i didnt have any connection at all. Today i set it to 1. lowest on roaming agressiveness and the wifi found again the network and it connected!!! even though before once it droped it never connected again!!
I want to ask something else though. Is intel centrino ultimate n6300 better than some other wifi cards that are also recomended by intel by being compatible with the nuc like the Intel Dual Band Wireless-N 7260 [7260.HMWBNWB.R]? Should i put that card inside the nuc (since it has bluetooth as well)?

Regarding your question about replacing the adapter, the Intel® Dual Band Wireless-N 7260 and Intel® Centrino® Ultimate-N 6300, Dual Band are similar in many ways. The main difference is the Bluetooth feature available in the 7260 as you already mentioned. Here is a comparison from our specification page so you can check the details:
The 6300 is a pretty good Wireless-N adapter and since it is now working fine in your system, you might not need to replace it. However, if you need Bluetooth connectivity in the computer, you may consider the Intel® Dual Band Wireless-N 7260, or other Intel wireless adapter.

Do you get any message or error if you try to connect to the wireless connection shown in the screenshot?
Does it connect and eventually disconnects, like in the original issue?
If you unplug the wired connection and reboot the PC, are you able to connect?
Try connecting to other wireless networks.
Is this the original adapter that came with the computer, or was this a custom upgrade?
Please let us know the driver version shown in Device Manager, the Operating System version (including 32 or 64 bits). Also let us know the model number and firmware version of your router (access point).
I was earlier used driver 184.108.40.206 and I hadn't had much problems with INTEL N6300 (maybe 1 or 2 switching off, but manually restarting this devices from Device Manager helped me )
Today I decided to use new driver, that you write about it ( 17.14.0.). And... 4h and my wifi connections are very stable!! (0, zero switching off)
But when I installed it I saw something strange. In my properties, of this card, it is written that I had install driver numeber: 220.127.116.11 from 2014-11-17.
It is correct?
The Intel® PROSet/Wireless Software 17.14.0 package contains drivers for different models of Intel® Wi-Fi Adapters, the version shown in the adapter properties of Device Manager will depend on the adapter model and the OS version. In your case, the driver 18.104.22.168 is the correct one for the Intel® Centrino® Ultimate-N 6300 and Windows 7*.
