Exactly the same here on my 5i5. Appears to be a BIOS bug and it's still present after installing the new 0246 BIOS released yesterday.
Not a big deal for me but it might be a showstopper for anyone that needs to use PXE network boot?
I've got the same thing on a newly opened NUC Kit D54250WYKH1.
I access BIOS by pressing F2.
There is a Yellow 'No Network Access' in the lower left corner.
Ethernet adapter is showing 2 Green lights
I did update the BIOS via a USB thumb drive from 0026 to 0038. No change
Checked with the 'Network Disconnected in BIOS' article. Appears it should work.
Please check the following link; this explains how the “Network Disconnected” in the BIOS works:
please let me know if you have any other doubts.
I've checked my Bios, upgraded to the latest (352), UEFI boot is activated, legacy is deactivated...but still have: Network disconnected
(as soon as my OS is loaded, network is working..it's a BIOS only issue)
I have an Intel Desktop Board NUC5i5RYB BIOS Version: RYBDWi35.86A.0246.2015.0309.1355
I've followed the Intel article and reset using F9 and satisfied the following conditions:
- A wired LAN connection (a wireless network connection is not supported).
- UEFI Boot is enabled.
- Legacy Boot is disabled.
I always see "Network Disconnected" in the bottom left hand corner of the BIOS screen. Has anyone at Intel actually tested this? It seems I can find endless questions on Google regarding this issue and there appears to be no solution.
Please let me emphasise quite how inconvenient it is to have to format a USB Pen and hunt around online for the latest BIOS firmware. I think I speak on behalf of many people in saying could Intel please address this issue and provide a fix- it clearly appears to be a bug in the BIOS?
I see that you have the BIOS version 0246, please update the BIOS to version 0354 to see if that can help you.
I just want to ask everyone else if you all still have this problem after trying the steps provided on the link above?
I updated to BIOS version 0354 manually using a USB Pen. Even with the new BIOS, I still see the "Network Disconnected" in the bottom left, no matter what settings I change in the BIOS.
Thank you for your reply, I will further investigate on this issue and hopefully a new BIOS version will fix this issue.
The 'network disconnected' message removal is a part of the v2.2.20 Visual BIOS module. The NUC5i3RYH is up to v2.2.17, keep checking for next updates.
Is there any chances to have "network connected" also with Legacy Boot mode?
My NUC 5i5RYB is with the latest BIOS (355)
Still have "Network disconnected" after F9 and UEFI only boot enabled
What can I do more??
