I've been using a BLE board by RedBearLab with Arduino UNO in order to connect it to my iPad/iPhone.
I've developed many projects using this structure of Hardware-Software
I'm trying to find a way to enable the BLE module on Intel Edison, so I could access it from the Arduino IDE as a Serial Comm-like.
Is there anyway to control the BLE module from the Arduino IDE?
Unfortunately there are no Bluetooth libraries included in the Arduino IDE, as you can see in Re: How can I get a bluetooth connection on the arduino IDE? there are some Bluetooth shields libraries that might work if modified but you'd have to make the modifications. My suggestion as in the post mentioned above is to make system calls in your sketch so you can set the Bluetooth interface, so I'd also suggest you to take a look at Intel® Edison Products — Intel® Edison Products Bluetooth* User Guide.
