I am a technology specialist in the Enterprise Team at Intel Australia. In my mind I am thinking there are multiple parts to IoT and the way to support these are quite different. We are currently doing a number of things to support the primary/secondary/tertiary education markets for IoT. We have some great solutions for the commercial IoT market in segments such as energy, retail, transportation, manufacturing etc. and this is definitely expanding (refer to the Open Interconnect Consortium at http://openinterconnect.org/). Additionally, we are also looking to address the needs of maker community as we have products such as Galileo and Edison and coming later this year the Curie module for wearables.
We would certainly be happy to hear of your ideas on what are the right events to be a part of to reach the community and what format these activities might look like (workshops, presentations, sponsorships, curriculum etc.) and I can get the information to the right people.
