In order to use the Arduino IDE with the Edison you will use the same syntax and structures that you used with the Arduino. According to the pin numbers , you will see the pin distribution in the Arduino Expansion Board - Hardware Guide and in the Compute Module - Hardware Guide.
If you are using shields for your Arduino's projects you may need to change some lines in the libraries in order to make it work, the Arduino has an ARM architecture and the Edison an x86 so the libraries that you used in your Arduino may not work on the Edison.
If you are using some shields, take a look at the Shield Test Report, you will find in there examples with some shields, libraries (changes in the libraries if are required) and results.
Cheers man! I've not used any shields or libraries (besides any libraries built into the IDE as standard) so I should be mostly alright on that front. I am using the sparkfun blocks, but I reckon I can figure it out by comparing the arduino expansion guide to the pinout out the blocks.
Thanks again Carlos!
