thanks for the feedback. Pls have a look around - there are other breakout boards available. E.G. Sparkfun offers various flavors. Maybe one of those fits better your needs.
Don't get me wrong - the mini-breakout board is perfect, apart from that tiny caveat. It has exactly what I need.
I have done projects for Raspberry Pi's where I used a 12V LiPo battery, a 5V BEC to drop it to 5V, and a WiFi USB dongle. The Edison + mini-breakout board gives me all of this in a smaller package for about the same price - and it includes the charger electronics on board.
