Intel® Iris™ and HD Graphics Driver update won't install

I've been running the driver update through the Intel Driver Update utility but after every installation i run the driver utility again and it says I'm still on the same version before the update

i'm on a Dell Inspiron 17 5000 series

Hello Jory,

Please note that the Driver version is 4080. This means the current driver you have is the latest version. Based on the image you provided, the driver mentioned by the Intel® Driver Update Utility is from a different driver package but at the end the driver version is the same so you can be sure your system is up to date.
