From where are you getting the packages and which image are you using on your board?
Did you tried with these steps first?
There is a fix for the issue while you are building the image? If this is the case you could try with that. Bug #12: batman r963 in openwrt fails at "can't flush routing rules - operation not supported" - batmand - Open Mesh
I have intel galileo with debian installed, and I have installed the packages batmand, and batctl with the following commands:
apt-get install batmand
apt-get install batctl
I have tried follow these steps. But if I try use
batctl if eth0
I have following error:
Error - can't open file '/sys/class/net/eth0/batman_adv/mesh_iface': No such file or directory
Sorry for my bad english. And Thanks for your anwer.
Hi Auros132 ;
I've never used Debian as you may know the supported image is Yocto but I will try to replicate you issue.
Which is the outcome of:
batctl if add eth0
And, are you able to see the connection with ifconfig? Is the eth0 available in the board?
Have you tried to activate the interface with: Tweaking - batman-adv - Open Mesh
echo bat0 > /sys/class/net/eth0/batman_adv/mesh_iface
