my hdmi suddenly stopped working -_-

so have an asus x52f for some reason the hdmi port has stopped working it was fine yesterday but not today and for the life of me i cant seem to get it to work i didnt install anything new all i did was search the web and play pc games but i cant seem to get it to work at all and its really bugging me can someone please help me

also to add its no longer making the noise to say something has been plugged into the laptop when i put the cable into the laptop

These are some recommendations I could give you regarding your issue:

• Try doing a system restore to the latest working stage.
• Try a BIOS update on your system.
• Uninstall the Intel Graphics drivers, please follow this procedure:
  • Install the drivers again
  • Open the Control Panel
  • Open Programs and Features
• Check for the Intel HD Graphics driver and click Uninstall.

Please keep in mind that we provided generic drivers; and sometimes these cannot be installed on other systems or the installation of them could overwrite their customizations and possibly change the functionality of the graphics.

If the issue persists I would recommend you to contact ASUS so they can find out if the HDMI port is defective.
