Hi Steve Briggs
Does every time that you re-flash your board (with reboot ota and with the files for the image in the mass storage unit) are you getting the same result (password issue)?
While booting the board, are you getting an error message or something similar that could identify the issue?
Also, which method are you using to get the ethernet over USB: I suggest you the following methods:
I have never successfully flashed my Edison. I tried the copy to OSX mounted drive and reboot ota method, which just rebooted back to the current install.
I've tried the configure_edison --upgrade method which did download everything but just rebooted to the current install.
The only method that seemed to do anything was the "OSX Alternate" with brew method. This said that it had re-installed/flashed and seems to have done something as now I'm stuck where I am.
I don't see anything showing an error while doing the osx brew method. But when it reboots it can't load the g_multi .ko giving the errors I showed above.
With the previous version the g_multi/rndis/ethernet over usb worked fine.
I will try the brew alternate method again but this time I will remove anything I have plugged into the edison.
thanks for the help
I removed my Adafruit TFT LCD SPI. And I removed (probably more importantly) my 8gb flash card from the oboard slot (using the arduino breakout board btw).
Re did the brew/flashall.sh method and it looks like it's happy. g_multi/rndis is now working fine.
Is there anyway I can tell what the current flashed version is while logged in to the edison?
P.S. I've attached my dmesg output mostly for reference.
dmesg.log.zip 14.1 K
Now I've got new problems (no journalctl output, no wlan0). But I'll dig in the forums first.
Hi Steve Briggs
I'm glad that the g_mulgti.ko error has gone.
