Intel Pro 1000 PT Quad Port will not install Intel Pro 1000 PT Quad Port drivers

I swear, nothing but problems with Intel drivers these days.

Picked up a quad port Pro 1000 PT.

Installed it.

Can't install the Intel drivers so I can team it.

This is the dumbest stuff I've seen in a long time.

WTF do I have to do to get these Intel Nics to work these days?????

Hi MonsterMaxx1, please share the operating system where you installed the PT quad port adapter, in some operating system like win8, there's no "full support" for PT quad port therefore teaming is not supported. Kindly refer to the links below for compatibility of PT quad port with different windows OS:

I got it to work. Google was no help, I just kept trying different things until it worked.

Win7 64bit

What I had to do was go into update driver on each nic. Let me pick from a list, uncheck show compatible hardware, select Intel Pro 1000 PT server adaptor (Intel) and let that driver install.

Do this for each port.

Then install the Intel drivers.

It no longer displays the correct name (the quad port LP part) but it works. Was able to install the latest intel nic drivers and team all 4 ports. Task Mgr/network reports 4GB capable. I'm able to pull & push pretty hard, but it seems to cap out around 100MB/s which seems to be a switch limitation.

Now I'm just limited to about 100MB/s by the POS Cisco switch (which is going away as soon as a procurve can get here.)
