The Intel HD Graphics Driver is not working correctly. Help, please.

Greetings, friends. First of all, english is not my native language, sorry if I make a mistake.

Recently I formatted my laptop Lenovo B560 and installed Windows 7. I was unable to adjust the screen resolution, nor have enabled Hibernate or Suspend options, so surfing the web, I find that may be because the graphics driver is outdated. I check and the driver working was the generic, the one that the system assumes if the corresponding driver is missing. I went to Lenovo site and downloaded Intel HD graphics driver but it did not work, the yellow symbol appears in the Device Manager and the same resolution and the same problem keep going. I try to update it directly and tell me that is already installed the latest version despite the yellow symbol. I tried through the Intel site, Lenovo site also several times, also through programs that determine the missing drivers and nothing. I mean, install, reboot, go back and uninstall and nothing. Any idea what I can do to fix this? My processor is Pentium P6200 @ 2.13 GH.

Thanks in advance.

Hi

Be sure you also run Windows Update until there are no more updates to install.

On the Lenovo Support site for your system, http://support.lenovo.com/us/en/products/laptops-and-netbooks/lenovo-b-series-laptops/lenovo-b560-notebook Laptops and netbooks :: Lenovo B Series laptops :: Lenovo B560 Notebook - Lenovo Support (US) , be sure you have the following installed:

Also be sure to check the Lenovo drivers for any other drivers needed to update your system

Thanks

Robert,

Thank you very much for your answer. I have the lates Lenovo drivers, but now I have an issue with Windows Update. It wont let me update anything. I am googling about it, trying to fix it to see if that was the problem. The issue is "windows update cannot currently check for updates because the service is not running". I have tried a lot, including these ones: http://www.wintips.org/windows-update-cannot-check-for-updates-windows-8-7-or-vista-solved/ Solved: Windows update cannot currently check for updates in Windows 8, 7 or Vista and http://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/forum/windows_7-windows_update/windows-update-cannot-currently-check-for-updates/b250e431-cdfc-46ac-a044-eaaee17491cf Windows Update cannot currently check for updates because the service - Microsoft Community

Still nothing. Any other ideas?

It's really important to have all the updates install for the OS. I would recommend working to resolve that issue before addressing driver relates issues. Does your installation media (DVD) for Windows 7 contain Service Pack 1 or is it the original release? If it does not have the SP1, you can manually download and install it from Microsoft here: https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=5842 Download Windows 7 and Windows Server 2008 R2 Service Pack 1 (KB976932) from Official Microsoft Download Center

Once you have it installed you can try to run the Windows Update again.

Thanks

Robert
