      REPOSTED for ED:  Help my DP43TF only boots part way in loading XPVERSION 1 Created on: Aug 18, 2009 10:32 AM by chuckered - Last Modified:  Aug 18, 2009 10:56 AM by chuckered Hi putting together new computer  MB DP43TF, processor Intel 2 quad  cpu Q6700@2.66ghz, intel EM64t capable.Running version AAE34878-401 serial number USTF84220089A, with firmware VER.5.0.0.1087, with OCZ pc2 , 4 gigs of ram, maxtor 500 gig hard  drive sata conection. pny  video card with 1024 ddr ram on it. 500 watt power supply with dvd player and dvd burner on it samsung.

      Finally the problem, when loading Xp on to computer gets to 37 minutes left and starts installing devices, gets litte more than about 3/4 and all of a sudden the blue screen, with message IRQL NOT LESS OR EQUAL, Tech Imfo, 0x00000010, 0x00000002, 0x000000000, 0x8051AA58, i have tried about everything in the site i can find, losing hair, shut everything down like site said, tried different ram from my other computer still same problem, any help will be appreciated, let me warn you i not the sharpest when comes to real technical stuff, thx again ed

          Hi,

          What happens if you leave the system on the Hardware monitoring page of the BIOS for a long time?

          What version of XP are you using?whats the cd like? the first thing i would do is try a different cd of XP at least if not of another operating system.

          If you are still getting the same error, i would then make sure you have nothing connected that you do not need to install the OS with.

          I would also try installing it with only one stick of RAM (that you know 100% is good) in at a time, if that bay dosen't work try the next one

          I would then cross test all the components SATA cables, everything.

          If after all this you stil are getting the same thing, i would then start disabling components form the BIOS: AUDIO, NEtwork adapters..etc

          Does it say anything else, in terms of error codes and such apart from "IRQL NOT LESS OR EQUAL, Tech Imfo, 0x00000010, 0x00000002, 0x000000000, 0x8051AA58"??
