I have an older S200CP4 server board (Jun 2012) with a BIOS v 01.02.0005. Is it possible to update the BIOS to support recent processors such as the 2697 v2 ?

I already checked our http://www.intel.com/support/motherboards/server/sb/CS-033241.htm processor compatibility list and noticed that this processor model has a BIOS requirement of version 02.01.0002 or later. The most current version we have right now is 02.04.0003.

The version that your board is currently on is a bit out of date and it requires several BIOS versions before you are able to get to the latest. I am going to list the versions you need to go to on their respective order of installation:

  1. https://downloadcenter.intel.com/Detail_Desc.aspx?DwnldID=21248 BIOS version 01.02.0006
  2. https://downloadcenter.intel.com/Detail_Desc.aspx?DwnldID=21918 BIOS version 01.06.0001
  3. https://downloadcenter.intel.com/Detail_Desc.aspx?DwnldID=22623 BIOS version 01.08.0003
  4. https://downloadcenter.intel.com/Detail_Desc.aspx?DwnldID=24612 BIOS version 02.04.0003

I am also including the link for the http://www.intel.com/support/motherboards/server/sb/CS-033704.htm BIOS installation instructions. I usually recommend copying the files to the root directory instead of a folder. Also, the USB Flash drive needs to be formatted in FAT32.

Feel free to contact our http://www.intel.com/p/en_US/support/contactsupport Intel® Customer Support team if you would like assistance on installing these packages on your board.
