Go into the Bios.
Go to Advanced
Drive Configuration >> Configure SATA as IDE
Save and Exit.
Then you will need to make sure to have a windows XP embedded with Service Pack2.
If you have got an XP without SP2 embedded, you will need to make by yourself.
The easiest way to do is to use a Software Nlite, which allows you to slipstream the Service Pack 2 with the original XP thus it will create a new ISO image which will be a Windows XP with SP2 embedded.
This is a Demo on Intel Website how to embed a driver in the OS, use the same principle to slipstream the SP2.
Once you have done that, burn the new CD, and try again. Let us know how it goes.
Note: AHCI works only with Vista as the driver is embedded in the OS itself.
All the best,
