Hello Fjtorsol, thanks for joining the chipset community.
Would you please let me know if you are getting an error message when you start the software?
Which RST version are you using?
These are some recommendations I could give you in order to try to resolve this behavior.
• Uninstall the Intel® Rapid Storage Technology from programs and features.
• Reinstall the .NET framework
• Install a different RST version
In addition, you can also try to do a system restore if the software was working fine before.
All the available versions matching my hardware ID result in the same error.
The required.Net framework build is included with Windows 8.1. (SFC and DISM checks are OK)
The application was of course reinstalled in order to try the different available versions.
Same error appeared to me after installing Microsoft KB2938104 (.Net Framework optional language package) on Windows Server 2012R2 Spanish Edition.
Tried to uninstall this with no luck.
Finally wolved installing English Language Optional Pack, and checking English Language to system services.
While this workaround may temporary fix the issue is Intel who has to properly address the issue. I should not have to modify my regional settings or install additional .Net language packs in order to get this service to launch. Please Intel confirm an incoming version with this fixed and publish a link to change log whenever (hopefully) fixed.
I will be forwarding this to our engineering team, we’ll be informing of any resolution provided for the RST regarding this issue.
