    WiFi not receiving packets

    petr.io

      Hello!

      I've managed to successfully set-up my Edison, however, I believe I am stuck on address conflict:

       root@edison:~# ifconfig

      My local network is using 192.168.2.x and it seems that the usb0 interface is the same. I can also see that on my router that address was assigned properly to the Edison board (.87), however, I cannot ping my router from the edison or edison from my network. I've not modified any settings, just flashed fresh firmware and performed the setup.

          Hi petr.io

          Did you set a password for your board? While you were performing the setup of the board? If you did't set one

          Also, are you sure you are not having issue with your network?

          Could you attach a screenshot of the error after ping 192.168.2.x (router)?

          Go to :

          cat /etc/resolv.conf

          and check the address that it's set in there.

          Regards;

            Yes, I did set the password. And no, I do not believe I've got issues with the network - I've got a few other clients on the same AP that work absolutely fine.

            Here is the output from the resolv:

            root@edison:~# cat /etc/resolv.conf

            domain dynamic.petr.io

            nameserver 192.168.2.3

            .. and here is ping from host to the assigned IP of the Edison:

            CUNE-2:~ petr$ ping 192.168.2.87

            PING 192.168.2.87 (192.168.2.87): 56 data bytes

            Request timeout for icmp_seq 0

            Request timeout for icmp_seq 1

            Request timeout for icmp_seq 2

            Request timeout for icmp_seq 3

            .. and lastly, here is the ping from the board:

            root@edison:~# ping 192.168.2.3

            PING 192.168.2.3 (192.168.2.3): 56 data bytes

            (nothing further, just hangs there)

              Hi petr.io ;

              There are a couple of suggestoins in here: WiFi Issue

              Try with the ifconfig usb0 down or by disabling the network-gadget-init.service

                Hi petr.io

                Do you still have problems getting the WiFi working in the board? Or now you are able to work with it?
