I have an HP 6710b laptop with " Intel(R) PRO/Wireless 3945ABG Network Connection " which runs with WIN 8.1 . I have problems to connect automaticaly to my wi-fi modem. It works only after run troubleshooter or after disable/enable network adapter. I've tried different drivers and now I have the last one possible for this device.Any ideas for solving this issue please ? Thank you.

Do you run automatic Windows Update on your laptop?

Are you fully up to date? If not, try updating / rebooting / updating / rebooting until you are all up to date.

Then, can you check if you have the optional update KB3000850 installed? If you don't, please install it.

After all the above, do you still have the same issue?

Thank you for your quick answer.

The answer is "YES" to all your questions above.

I will try to look for the mentioned update, then I will be back with an answer.

Thanks again.

Hi Cobreola, it seems in this case you are using the Microsoft* inbox driver as Intel does not provide a driver for this wireless adapter Windows* 8.1.

You may contact Microsoft* for further assistance.
